Heartwarming fantasy novel about a man finding himself and true love. This book has a little bit of everything magic, political intrigue, suspense, adventure, and romance.
I only meant to read a chapter or 3, but stayed up until 2 a.m. to finish.
Looking forward to the sequel.
This is a great book - magical fantasy with good depth and great plot twists. I loved it!
The Sages Consort was riveting!! I seriously could not put it down and spent a Saturday (yes, till 3 am) reading. The story is gripping from the first chapter on and I'm impatiently awaiting the next book! Krystal Craiker shows great mastery of surprising themes and intricate detail! This book should be on every shelf!!
I enjoyed this book. It is Fantasy and it has really good character development and Character Interactions. You really see the changes that happen to the main character, Quinn, who is basically finding himself throughout the book while also keeping you intrigued with other things that are happening. I see a lot of the Anthropology teachings in this book also and that definitely appeals to me. I am glad to have been able to purchase a hard copy to read.
A fantastic story that kept me captivated until the very end. I was sad when I reached the end, but look forward to the sequel! The characters are relatable and I enjoyed their progression. I only wish I knew more about Rafe! I settled into the world so easily, I was ready to pack my bags and move there. The magic wasn’t overly complex and simply made sense. Looking forward to returning to Elandria!
The Sage's Consort is a must read for anyone seeking a cleverly crafted novel featuring equal parts fantasy, adventure, and romance. Krystal Craiker uses beautiful imagery to weave together the world of Elandria, complete with fascinating historical references. With intelligent plot twists and palpable romantic tension, I found myself rooting for the characters and unable to set the book aside. Chores be damned! Craiker left me wanting more, I can't wait to read the sequel.

Long-time fantasy fans and newcomers to the genre alike can enjoy this story...and will likely find themselves eager for the release of the next book in the series. Unlike many works in this category, The Sage's Consort avoids an overly stylized language that would serve to distance the readers. Craiker manages to keep the dialogue between the characters quite realistic, sidestepping the pitfall of cheesily sanitary language that many other authors employ, which ends up damaging the believability of their characters. I found myself hooked early on in the book and had a hard time putting it down.
